On January 25th, 2022, The International Energy Agency's (IEA) 4E-Energy Efficient End-use Equipment Semiconductor Lighting Group (SSL Annex) organized a websharing workshop on the "Goniophotometer Inter-Laboratory Comparison Project" in IC 2017. Dr. Yoshi Ohno, Project leader and former CIE President, delivered a lecture to explain, analyze and discuss the results of the international comparison of IC 2017. Under the organization of the secretariat of the National Lighting Appliance Standardization Technical Committee, Pan Jiangen, Chairman of Hangzhou EVERFINE, Professor senior engineer, Li Qian, deputy director, and Dr. Chen Cong participated in the meeting as Chinese experts.
Goniophotometer is the most critical and technically difficult testing equipment for the evaluation and measurement of semiconductor energy-saving lighting. The accuracy of Goniophotometer measurement must meet three conditions at the same time: high accuracy of Goniophotometer equipment, high level of quantitative reference and strong laboratory measurement technology. Due to the rapid development of semiconductor lighting in recent years, the international community attaches great importance to the accuracy and consistency of Goniophotometer measurement results.
As early as July 2010, the International Energy Agency established the Semiconductor Lighting Group (SSL Annex) under its High Efficiency Terminal Equipment Technical Cooperation Program (IEA 4E), which developed 4E inter-laboratory comparison test methods to carry out capability verification and establish an internationally unified SSL evaluation system. The IEA 4E SSL Annex launched the IC 2017 project at the end of 2017, and a total of 36 laboratories from 19 countries directly participated in the comparison project, according to Dr. Yoshi Ohno, combined with the historical data accumulated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) NVLAP project. In fact, 110 world-renowned laboratories participated in the data comparison, which is the largest international comparison of distributed photometer systems. The Test Method is based on the international standard CIE S025:2015 "Test Method for LED Lamps, LED Luminaires and LED Modules", and the comparison activity is completed by each laboratory "back-to-back" independent measurement. A total of eight laboratories in China participated in the comparison, most of which used domestic equipment independently developed by China.

The report of this international comparison has been officially released in December 2021. The comparison Reference value is the average measurement value of the reference laboratory, and the result is evaluated by the z 'value. Hangzhou EVERFINE Testing and Calibration Technology Co., LTD. (a laboratory certified by both CNAS and NVLAP) adopted GO-R5000 full-space fast photometer system independently developed by EVERFINE in this comparison. The laboratory code is G56. The measured results of the final parameters are highly consistent with the comparison reference values.
