1.Test principle of transmittance and Haze

Due to light scattering, The interior or surface of transparent or translucent materials will produce cloudy or turbid appearances, and luminous transmittance and haze are important indices to measure the transparency of the material.

Luminous transmittance is the ratio of the luminous flux transmitted by a body to the flux incident upon it .

Haze is another important parameter describing the physical properties of transparent materials, which represents the scattering ability of materials to transmitted light. Haze refers to the percent of transmitted light that is scattered so that its direction deviates more than a specified angle from the direction of the the incident beam..

The visible light transmittance, ultraviolet transmittance, sunlight transmittance, visible light reflection ratio, and spectral transmittance / reflectance curves of various kinds of films, glass and lenses are measured, and the color characteristics of the materials are analyzed, and the measurement of 280nm-2500nm is very wide to meet the requirements of the GAT744-2013 standard.

3.Measurement scheme for visible spectral transmittance and haze of materials:HAM-300 High Accuracy Spectral Haze Meter and HAM-200 Haze Meter

HAM-300 can be used to test and analyze the transmittance, haze and photochromatic properties of materials under specific light sources, such as total transmittance, spectral transmittance curves at different wavelengths, scattering transmittance, parallel light transmittance, fog, and optical color properties of materials under A, C and D65 light sources. It can be widely used in plastics, films, glass or LCD panels.
